6.4 Create Your Audio Advertisement

  • Due Apr 17 by 11:59pm
  • Points 20
  • Submitting a website url

🎯 GOALS

  1. Apply your learning from reviewing ads to create your own clear, creative 15–30 second audio advertisement.

  2. Use Flint AI to help write a strong script.

  3. Record your voice narration using AudioMass and edit your final mix in Wavacity.

  4. Enhance your ad with at least one sound effect or background music track.

  5. Publish your ad and process documentation using Canva, and share it via your Google Site portfolio.

πŸͺœ STEPS

βœ… You may work with a partner β€” but read this carefully:

  • You can brainstorm together, write your script together, and identify audio clips to use.

  • BUT: You must record your own voice for narration and edit your own final audio file in Wavacity.

  • Your submission must be your own, even if you collaborated on the creative process.

πŸͺœ INSTRUCTIONS

1. Brainstorm and Write Your Script

  • Choose a real or imaginary product you want to advertise.

  • Use this Flint AI Advertisement Helper to get ideas or help write your ad.

  • Your ad should be 15–30 seconds long (around 45–90 words).

2. Record Your Voice in AudioMass

  • Go to AudioMass

  • Click the microphone icon to record your voice narration.

  • Export your recording as an MP3 or WAV file and save it to your Google Drive.

3. Find One Sound Effect or Music Clip

  • Choose at least ONE extra audio element to add to your ad (sound effect OR background music).

  • Choose a clip from one of these free sources:

    • BBC Sound Effects

    • SoundGator

    • Chosic Free Music

    • YouTube Audio Library

⚠️ Save the link to the audio you use β€” you’ll need it later.

4. Edit Your Ad in Wavacity

  • Go to Wavacity

  • Import your narration and your music/sound effect file.

  • Mix the tracks together and adjust the volume levels:

    • πŸŽ™οΈ Your voice must be clear and easy to hear.

    • 🎡 Do not let background music or effects be too loud or distracting.

    • Simpler is better β€” focus on clarity and impact.

5. Take a Screenshot

  • Once you're done editing, take a screenshot of your Wavacity project.

  • Your screenshot should show:

    • Multiple tracks (voice + background)

    • Waveform volumes (relative loudness)

6. Export Your Final Mixdown

  • In Wavacity, export your final edited file (MP3 or WAV).

  • Upload it to your Google Drive and change sharing settings to β€œAnyone with the link can view.”

7. Create a Webpage in Canva

Go to Canva and choose a webpage design. On your page, include:

  • πŸ–ΌοΈ A banner image (2000x400 pixels) with the title of your ad

  • ✍️ A short description of your ad and your product

  • πŸ”— The links to the music or sound effect(s) you used

  • πŸ–₯️ The screenshot of your final Wavacity editing screen

  • 🎧 Your embedded audio file (or a link to listen)

  • πŸ“Ž A direct link to your audio ad on Google Drive

πŸ“€ TURN IN

Submit the public link to your Canva webpage in Canvas.

βœ… Be sure your Canva page includes:

  • 🎧 Final audio ad (embedded or linked)

  • 🧠 Your script and product description

  • πŸ”— Audio source link(s)

  • πŸ–ΌοΈ Screenshot of Wavacity tracks

  • πŸ”— Shared Google Drive link to your ad (set to "anyone with link can view")

πŸ”— Also upload your final audio ad as a .WAV or .MP3 file in this Google Drive folder.
